SECRET MICRONEEDLING
Before Your Treatment

Do not wear makeup on the day of treatment.

No sun-tanning 4 weeks prior to treatment.

Avoid skin irritants (examples below) at least 3 days before and after treatment.

Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acid, vitamin C/ascorbic acid, astringents, toner, etc​.

Notify our clinic with any changes to your history/medications Ince your last appointment

Let us know if you have a history of herpes or cold sores as this may require antiviral prescription prior to the procedure.
After Your Treatment
Day 1 (same day as procedure)

No need to wash your face today.​

Apply a moisturizer (La Roche Posay B5 serum or Cicaplast B5 cream) every 3-4 hours and apply a thick layer of Vaseline or healing ointment over this (the healing ointment can be either Vanicream, CeraVe or Cetaphil brand).

If there is bruising, you can use Arnica cream (instead of the B5 cream) and apply it 3-4 times a day to help the bruise fade faster.
Day 2 (the day after the procedure)

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser (like Vanicream, Cetaphil or CeraVe gentle cleanser) in the morning and again apply the same topicals as Day 1 (B5 serum or cream and layer on top with healing ointment 3-4 times a day).

Wash your face at night, apply the same B5 serum/cream and ointment on top.
Day 3

You can resume your normal moisturizer and cleanser but do not start anything harsh like a topical retinoid, retinol, ascorbic acid/vitamin C, toner, salicylic acid or glycolic acid until Day 5.
In General

Avoid sun exposure and use broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen for the first 3-5 days.

Avoid heat - hot tubs, saunas, etc for 3 days.

Bruising, redness, swelling or grid pattern may occur and last up to 8 weeks.

More aggressive treatments or use of irritants in the days prior to or after treatment can lead to longer downtime.
